Temple Night NYC: Circe's Island of Desire

Temple Night NYC: Circe's Island of Desire

Doors Open: 8:00 PM (doors close at 9:30 PM) Opening Circle & Cacao Ceremony: 9:30 PM Performance/Playshops: 10pm - 12AM Event Ends: 4:00 AM Beyond the veil lies Aeaea—Circe’s enchanted island, where the rules of the ordinary world begin to dissolve. Circe is more than a witch or seductress. She is a goddess of transformation—an initiatrix who turns men into beasts, teaches them how to descend into the Underworld and return and restores them more beautiful than before. On October 24th, Temple Night becomes a portal into Circe’s Island of Desire. We enter Aeaea carrying all the identities we have learned to wear: civilized, appropriate, desirable, respectable, controlled. But beneath those identities lives something older. The animal remembers. It remembers hunger before hunger became shameful. Desire before we learned which desires were acceptable. Pleasure before we were taught to justify it. The body before we learned to fear what it wanted. Circe invites us to meet that animal. We descend because what we exile into shadow does not disappear. Through ritual, cacao, shadow work, embodiment, performance, and erotic exploration, Circe becomes our initiatrix—inviting us to encounter the desires we have called too much, too strange, too selfish, too submissive, too dominant, too hungry, or too wild. And then she invites us deeper into the Underworld beneath our desires. We will witness the old voices, wounds, expectations, inherited stories, and conditioning that taught us which parts of ourselves needed to be domesticated in the first place. Circe’s magic was never simply about turning humans into animals. It was about transformation. And when Circe finally restored Odysseus’s companions to human form, Homer tells us that they returned younger, taller, and more beautiful than they had been before. That is our journey through Aeaea. We do not come to destroy the beast. We do not come to become the beast. We come to remember what the beast knows. To meet our hunger without being ruled by it. To reclaim desire without abandoning consent. To enter the shadow without losing ourselves inside it. And to return more whole than we arrived. Welcome to Aeaea. Welcome to Circe’s Island of Desire. emple Night NYC invites you to reclaim the ancient rites of sacred sexuality, where pleasure is worship, and vulnerability is power. This is a container for all genders to honor, embody, and reclaim their erotic energy. Expect chanting, breathwork, sensual activation, golden light rituals, slutty oracle messages, and a delicious solar feast.
